With simple, programmable electronics, this feeder is meant for dry food only but will cope with most shapes and sizes of kibble. Runs on 3 'D' size batteries (not supplied), which should last up to 6 months. Its attractive modern design will compliment any kitchen or utility room. Customer Reviews: Great product posted on 05/06/2008 My 2 cats have been using this feeder now for about 2 weeks. They seemed a bit confused at the beginning because they did not figure out that food can also come without a human being around :- The programming was quite ok, not the most intuitive but once you get used to it it's fine. I would have liked to be able to also customize the amount for each meal but it's not extremely important. It is quite good that you can skip meals, so you can have up to 3 meals a day. The meal size can start from 1/4 cup and go up to 2 cups a meal. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and it brought quite a lot of relief to us as the last time we went away our cats kept eating like pigs. It's true, it was mainly because of the food which we changed right before we left it was Royal Canin for sterilized cats and I have no idea what they put in it but it made them eat all the time. I work long hours and I don't have to worry if I'm late back or don't get home as I know they are being fed. Easy to programme and compact to fit in the corner.
