The outer lasts few days to a week depending if gets wet. He loves to destroy it. But the inner stays intact and he seems to love it even more. Its entertaining enough watching him try to guess whereabouts it will bounce; they go all over the place. When I saw the Kong Air Squeaker American football I was not quite sure if it would do the job, but still went ahead and bought it. As soon as we got it we had a football game. It is great and puppy and humans had great fun trying to catch the ball bouncing all over the place. A good laugh for humans and fun for dogs.
