Glad I did as after 15 minutes of her wearing the plastic version and constantly bashing into my legs I'd had enough of it, let alone how she obviously felt about it. It was immediately obvious how much more comfortable she was in it, especially as its easily folded back to make eating that bit easier. She was able to drink and sleep without discomfort. I would highly recommend this. Its washable too and will be keeping it for any future needs. p.s. our 9 year old son thought it was great as puppy looked like Darth Vader in it!!!                     Comfy is the Word dog loved it posted on 13/04/2011 by agibson I purchased the medium for my spaniel, as she was really stressed wearing a "plastic lampshade" after her op. Yes the product is expensive in comparison to those plastic ones, but she really enjoyed wearing it and slept peacefully and It has done the job keeping her mouth away from her wound. At least she did not give herself a fright when she banged into the doorframe and she was much more settled. My dog is much happier and more comfortable. The only draw back (in my opinion) being that it is black and the dog cannot see out of the sides as she could with the plastic version.
