The top half opens completely to get kitty in and out easily and safely, the door has a single-handed opening and closing mechanism, which cannot be opened from inside and there is a food and water bowl in the door, which can be accessed externally without your cat escaping. The front door has a clear view; vents in the top, side and rear provide optimum airflow; the integrated moulded handle on top helps to reduce motion sickness while carrying your cat and the Cabrio can be secured in any vehicle with just a standard seatbelt. I ordered this on Tuesday evening at around 9pm. It arrived this morning thursday before 8am-all for free delivery! As for the product: Design-attractive, spacious functional and secure. Ease to build-I managed to build it eventually! We ordered two and my husband built his in no time at all whereas I struggled a little. With a little patience it comes together and it is worth the trouble. quality-at first when you take it out of the box it does feel a little flimsy but once this has been built it is strong and sturdy. Space-plenty of room for one cat, easily get a full litter of kittens in and for short tips you may get 2 small cats in. i have purchased one each for my two Bengals so they have plenty of room to move around . Top features-the front opening door is easy with one single clasp,the food trays are great for giving them a treat whilst in the waiting room or after they have been to the vets, air ventilation is brilliant, appears very cosy especially if you but a blanket in. Downsides-the top opening function is a little tricky to close again but with practice it is fine, the carry strap is not really practical as it is a heavy box plus its resident s with a thin strap! Overall a Purrfect Product, well worth investing in, beats any carrier in traditional stores. shame these are not available more widespread but PetPlanet offers a really good price, i shall recommend this to anyone. posted on 21/07/2009 by kaly I'm not sure if this product was designed with the cat owner or the retailer in mind. The cabrio top sure makes it easier to store if disassembled but assembles like a fisher price toy for children. Once assembled it remains difficult to open and close. Other features are well thought through: particularly the spacious front door, the fix handle and ventilation slots will make it ideal for short and long car rides. Since the two piece top leaves the carrier less stable than expected with regards to the overall weight, I wouldn't consider it for air travel.
