I bought this for my 2 cats 2nd birthday. I also bought the sleepy corner, climbing hill and kitty city hideaway. When it was put together, which took hardly no time. The cats both loved it. They have both decided who sleeps on top and who sleeps on the bottom of the sleepy corner and they love batting the balls. Great birthday gift for my boys.

Love the way this scratcher can be put together in all sorts of forms, it can be put onto the other items, or as a stand alone. You could also add two together, and make a taller scratcher for larger cats, although not sure if it would be stable enough. I have mine attached to the rest of my 9 pieces. Time will tell, on the strength and last abbility of these products, especially as I breed Maine Coons, which are big cats. For the time being, I'm over the moon with these products, they're so well thought out, and putting them together isn't difficult, just remember, if your building a playground, as we did, work out where you want things before you put all the poles in place, as it can be a case of building, then pulling apart, to slip the poles in place properly. We're very happy with ours now built up, and so are the cats.

Had previously bought a scratching pad for my kitten put she took to chewing it instead so bought this hoping she wouldnt do the same she is still learning to scratch it but she is scratching it provided it is placed horizontally as it is not sturdy enough for her when it is up right

Well with every toy you get what you pay for with this Kitty City playzone it does have the flexibilty to stand alone however i found it would fall apart within a few minutes of kitten play BUT when attached to the other parts of Kitty City it holds up very well Infact my 4year old cat is interested in it when no one is looking of course My kitten LOVES it

When its upright, it falls over when the cats scratch it. I've seen the cats playing with the balls, but I have not seen them scratch it when its horizontal. Maybe its better for a kitten?

Maybe OK for very small kittens

Item is unstable and falls over as soon as a cat tries to use the scratch poles Even without being used it does not sit flat on the floor and rocks all the time It may be alright if you have several items connected together but it is so flimsey that I doubt it Have had to go out and buy a different one
