Customer Reviews:                     reduces number of birds caught posted on 19/02/2007 We have used these collars on two cats for a few years. They do significantly reduce the number of birds caught. Occasionally the light gets stuck on but this is simply rectified by flicking it. Our cats ignore the beeping sound and continue to play and hunt as normal. We leave them off through the winter, then use them for the spring and summer when birds are more active and the cats spend time outdoors. We remove the liberator working part from the collar provided and add them onto our own quick-release cat collars as our cats are adventurous and often get their collars caught.                     My cat didn't like it at all! posted on 30/01/2007 I'm a cat & bird lover, so I bought this collar because 1 of my feline friends was always chasing after birds. I though the idea was great but in reality I'm afraid it didn't work out at all. My cat was deeply annoyed by the alarm sound and, unlike what it has been claimed on the ad, she often felt inhibited by it, preventing her from playing with the others or chasing her toys. It is also worth noting that quite a few times the alarm would start at random, even when the cat was inactive sleeping or lying in bed, and it was almost impossible to shut it down! I just had to give up on it and liberated my cat from the liberator!                     Dodgy technology posted on 30/01/2007 We have had several of these collars for our three cats, and have repeatedly come up with problems - from alarms that fail to go off at all even if you throw it against the wall (the collar, not the cat), to ones that you just cannot get to shut up, and keep going off even when the little darlings are fast asleep. Eventually, we gave up and went back to the traditional method - stitching about 8 bells to each cat's collar. At least they can't break down.
