Stress free life posted on 10/11/2009 by malibubarbi My dog is petrified of fireworks to the extent that she will destroy things, soil herself and furnishings, urinate on beds and settees, and bark incessantly whilst trying to escape from the sounds of the fireworks. She is a Samoyed aged 11 years and I feel she is too old to be sedated so we have tried the collar on a number of occasions with fantastic results. She is calm, relaxed, and able to acknowledge that the fireworks exist but without the visible and extreme panic.
