We recommend consulting your vet when feeding veterinary diet foods. Read More
Therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and recommended to be used in conjunction with veterinary advice and support. Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your vet prior to and during feeding of any of these products to your pet.
DescriptionRoyal Canin Hypoallergenic Moderate Energy is formulated for the nutritional management of overweight, neutered or mature dogs in cases of food elimination trials, food allergies with dermatological and/or gastrointestinal signs, food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, chronic diarrhoea or bacterial overgrowth. Soy protein hydrolisate, which is composed of low molecular weight peptides, is highly digestible and of very low allergenicity. A reduced calorie content helps limit weight gain in dogs with a tendency to become overweight. Very high amounts of biotin, niacin, and pantothenic acid, in combination with the zinc-linoleic acid complex, reduce water losses through the skin and support the barrier effect of the skin. A restricted phosphorous intake is key to help support renal function with age.

My Alaskan Malamute has an intolerance to protein-she doesnt digest it properly and is on this via recommendation from the small animal hospital, this is fantastic value for money and by far the cheapest i have been able to find it with delivery too. The bag came in great condition as it had been shipped in a box to prevent it beng damaged i couldnt recommend them highly enough i shall be ordering again when needed.

This is the 1st time I have ordered my dogs food from the Internet and I will certainly use Pet Planet again. The food was delivered very quickly and was great value much cheaper than from the vet. Harvey is a Cairn cross Jack Russell with quite severe food allergies. He has been on lots of medication in the past and we were beginning to despair. The vet said to try him on the Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food and his symptoms have almost disappeared. Because he loves his food he is a bit overweight so that was the reason for ordering the lower calorie version. He is continuing to do very well and has not had any meds for nearly 6 weeks now. We'll have to wait and see if he has lost any weight! I have recommended the site to other people.

Fast dispatch and worth every penny posted on 24/03/2009 by Gill
Not the cheapest product but as the owner of a Westie who came down with skin complaints it's worked wonders and worth every penny. Check out the 'animal derivatives' in other foods - that's EVERY bit of the animal broken down and used!! Luckily he's insured and after a course of tablets that I wasn't too happy giving him didn't relish the idea of him being on these for the rest of his life and blood tests which said he was allergic to grass seeds how can I keep him out of the garden??! and certain meats, I got a large bag as part of his treatment and his complaints settled down completely. I went back to his old food when that bag was finished and within a few days they flared up again so he's back on this now. Make sure you check all your pets treats too....you'd be surprised at what goes into them!! A tip from my vet - if you're worried about your pet's treats soak some of this food in a baking tray with some water, let it harden slightly - bake it in the oven - and cut into treat sizes. Then you'll know what's in his treats. Also, beware of things like that carpet powder stuff that you sprinkle in and vacuum up - it doesn't always get sucked up completely and traces may be left in the carpet. Because He's worth it!! lol

My Tibetan Terrier has really bad allergies and this is the only food she can eat without coming out in a rash. I used to get it from my vet but it was really expensive then I found Pet Planet. Delivery was very quick and much cheaper than the vet! I will definately order from Pet Planet again, excellent service from them five stars but still think Royal Canine food is expensive one star no matter how good it is!!!!
