It protects from fleas (ctenocephalides felis), heartworm (L3 and L4 larvae of Diroflaria immitis), hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme), roundworm (Toxocara cati) and ear mites (Otodectes). Advocate 40 is a spot-on product, meaning no tablets for your cat and no combination of treatments are required. Each application spreads rapidly over your pet, killing 98-100% of adult fleas within 12 hours of an application and flea larvae in the cat's environment. It is a combination of Imidacloprid combined with Moxidectin to treat both internal and external parasites in cats. One application of Advocate treats any existing parasite infection and also protects against new infection as the treatment will last for four weeks – thus preventing new infections from establishing.
