This front control harness maximises comfort & control while stopping your dog from pulling kindly. Designed by Dr Roger Mugford, the Halti Dog Harness stops pulling, calms over-boisterous dogs and simplifies training and behavioural therapy. It steers the dog from the chest: an efficient point of control. Can be used with a standard lead but will provide best results when used in conjunction with the double-ended Halti Training Lead, linked to both the chest and shoulder rings of the harness.
This is the second one that we bought for our Ridgeback puppy she ate the first one We have now had a chance to use it on her walks Amazingly she doesnt pull at all We use it with the Halti lead excellent but we dont need to use the front ring for control because she just doesnt pull My wife says that the front ring is very useful for steering her though

I have been using this with my stubborn pug for a week or so and it has made an immense difference Much less pulling and a happier and easier walk for me Also bought the lead which is strong and soft and appears to be good quality Would recommend

For some bizare reason I was expecting the the lead to come with the harness when I bought it but even without it the harness works well on our Staffie I feel I have more control of him even just clipped onto the back clip Will be getting the lead soon though to maximise the purpose of the Halti Harness
Too large for toy poodleposted on 26/08/2012 by stitchenagain
I bought a small at a pet store here in the US and according to the measurements it should have fit but even adjusted to the smallest dimensions it was about an inch too large around for my 7 lb toy poodle whose chest is 13. I was very disappointed to have to return it because this seems to be the best one on the market.
Fabulous product highly recommendposted on 30/07/2012 by abigailrabbit
I purchased three small harnesses for my three Chinese crested dogs As they are all small slim dogs I had to adjust it to the smallest it went which luckily was a correct size for them
My dogs are rescues and all had pulling habits when they arrived I have never been able to completely correct the pulling until now I was absolutely amazed as they didnt pull at all I used them correctly with a halti lead and attached one end to the back of the harness and one end on the chest I am so so pleased with this product
At last a stress free walkposted on 29/06/2012 by Marnie Munchkin
Got the medium size harness for my six month old boxer puppy as I have used the head collar on my other boxers and they hated it. It was simple and easy to fit. I used the Halti double ended lead and away we went. Straight away I had more control of my boisterous girl and it was easy to guide her to where and how I wanted her to walk. The pulling stopped immediately although not altogether what pulling there was was very minimal and very easy to cope with. This harness has been a godsend and my arms now stay in their sockets I did find the fitting instructions vague and looked on YouTube for better help A recommended purchase for any dog owner who likes to walk their dog and not their dog walk them

Works a treatposted on 31/05/2012 by lauragerrard
I love these we have 2 minature schnauzers and the choke themselves in a slip lead pull out of a collar get tangled on an extension lean and most harnesses in the past have been a real pain to put on
They seem to like these and they work well as a short lead long lead double lead etc
They need a bit of adjusting to suit the dog so as not to rub but we will ge tthere and these seem the best option yet
Excellent quality and valueposted on 06/01/2012 by doeoswald
Excellent product but sadly does not stop my 16 month Bernese Mountain dog from pulling my arms out of their sockets
Not a miracle cure but an improvement and kinderposted on 03/11/2011 by Faye
I have one of these for both my Retriever and my German Shepherd I would never walk them on the collar ever again The harness discourages pulling but its not a cure It does however give you 10x more control when they do pull If you start off teaching them with a halti head harness this is a good progression I wasnt sure about sizing based on previous reviews but I went for a Large which fits both dogs fine They are 35 and 38kg and there is still a bit of expansion left or reduction in size in there The harnesses have lasted for ages too
