As the mornings get colder and the evenings darker sooner, thousands of us wait with baited breath for the arrival of that famous green book – The Crufts Schedule 2007. It arrived through my letter box on Thursday morning. My mind went into overdrive: first priority now is Keeping Care of Katie’s Coat.

I ordered this in a size 14 for my Miniature Schnauzer shes normally a 16inch for a coat. It fits perfectly and will be brilliant for the snowy weather as she gets snowballs on her legs and its horrendous to remove them. She loves it

Following advice from other reviewers I bought size 14 for my chinese crested powderpuff that normally wears size 16 .The suit is a perfect fit and would probably still have room for a tshirt inside The complete cover apart from open rear end keeps her dry and no towelling after a walk.

This suit is ideal for putting on my cavalier Milly on walks in the rain or even when the ground is wet and muddy and I want to try and keep her reasonably clean. It's light and looks comfortable for her to run about in. The legs were a little long but she needed the size for her body size. I have opted to roll up the legs mean time but will get my mum to tailor the legs, not a problem!

I have 2 Bichon Frise and these trouser suits are the best thing I've ever bought them. I only have to clean the tips of their toes now when its wet and no more snow sticking to their coats. Now I don't mind taking them out in bad weather. Brilliant!

What weve been waiting for

I was fed up when returning from walks everyday with my two westies, they were either wet or dirty or worse covered in fox poop yuk, it took me ages daily to wash and dry them, normally enjoyable walks were turning into nightmares, I saw these jumpsuits and thought they may make my dogs look a little silly but will they work???? YES they do.... I no longer have wet, smelly dogs, delighted. The sizes are fine on the length but a little long on the legs. There is ample room for your dog to run, jump and play without any restriction, my dogs think they look great in them although I have had a few odd looks from other dog owners. I would highly recommend if you want to keep your pooch dry.

We have a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and after a bit of wiggling around managed to get him into his cosipet trouser suit. Not only does it keep his belly dry but he looks so cute in it. Good value for money and with the rainy weather coming, we can be assured of keeping him 90% dry which is great. Good value for money and I would recommend it. Satisfied customer.

When it is very, very wet my shih tzu puppy won't go out for a walk unless he is wearing his trouser suit. The first time getting it on him was a bit of a wrestling match because elasticated legs but now it easy to get it on him. I would recommend it for small dogs especially fluffy ones as it saves having to dry off/bath a little filthy drowned rat every time it rains heavily.

I am sure item is good value for money but sizing is very confusing.
posted on 04/02/2010 23:23:48
Measured dog body length as requested but around body size is not comparable with that measurement and I found with a small dog the trouser suit drowned her so had to be returned therefore I was out of pocket by the cost of the postage both there and back. However refund was made immediately.

We loved our new doggy mac,

Mum ordered me this Cosipet mac, cos this winter I resembled the abominable snowman instead of a standard poodle pup. Unfortunately the snow's gone and she clipped all my pup fluff off so it's a bit big. Mum says that as I'm only eight months old I will grow into it. The size is generous and it is very well made, mum says the black suits my nose and eyes and sets off my lovely red fur What's left that is! Mum says me and the mac look beautiful, I said, ''I know''. love and licks... Grace

Good quality and value, BUT as indicated in some other reviews, difficult to size your dog. We have a beagle and the legs were so long she couldn't use it. These would be great if you could get more breed specific or flexibility in the sizing of the suit

I have used these trouser suits for some time. We had an Airedale Terrier who used to get very dirty underneath. I bought her a trouser suit and the problem was cured! She had about 4 in all, as she wore them a lot and sometimes managed to snag one on a sharp stick. Since we lost our Airedale,w years'ago, I have been looking after other people's dogs when they go on holiday, etc. I bought this one mainly for a collie we have 5 days a week. It is a bit tight for him the 24" was out of stock but it will fit other dogs we have.

Expensive for what it is but is does keep the rain and the mud off. Bigger dogs look even stupider in these than smaller dogs though, I couldn't stop laughing at my poor dog when I got her in the coat the first time and she looked motified!

These suits are the best things ever! I have one Shi Tzu and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, who just soak up the water on their coats, and take a lot of drying on our return home from outings. I now just need to dry 12 wet feet, it is wonderful. One of the Cavaliers likes to roll in disgusting smelly things and the suit saved me giving her a shower, it was so much easier washing the garment.

Sun hasn't stopped shining since it arrived!!

Bought the largest size for my Russian Black Terrier bitch to use on wet show days, haven't had to use it yet as it's been sunny ever since.
Easy to put on, however I do feel it is overpriced although well made which is a shame as I'd have bought a couple more for my other 2 for wet winter walks if they'd been a bit cheaper.
I'd prefer the company who makes it to produce even larger sizes, as this only just fits round her chest - this is a very deep-chested breed - I wouldn't use it for normal activity walks as it might be too uncomfortable.
Would have been more helpful if Petplanet could put details of the chest/leg measurements for each size on the website as it would make ordering easier - just the back length isn't enough information.
Approx measurements of 30" suit for reference - neck 22", chest 36", front leg 17", back leg 23"

The item needs more sizing options ie leg lengths, chest measurements, etc. I ordered mine for a German Shepherd but when it arrived it would have fitted a Greyhound better.
The quality of material and workmanship was good.

Great product. It would be even better if the sleaves are shorter. For a small dog such as our havanese, the solution was to cut the sleavesthat made it even easier to put the coat on. Our dog is now dry and free to run even when it's pouring rain!

Product was very good. Only downside was that legs were too long. Would be useful to, where practical ask for breed of dog and leg measurements.
Until suit altered, need to constantly pull legs up and double over to reduce the leg slippin over the foot.

The jury is still out!

I thought this jump suit would be ideal to help keep my puppy dry during our walks in the rain. When I put the suit on him however, he acts like Bambi - his little legs go quite stiff and he decides that he cannot possibly walk. A brilliant idea but I have yet to convince my pooch. Was this money well spent? The jury is still out.

Molly loves her Cosipet trouser suit as it keeps her dry when out, Good value for money.

What a boom the cosipet trouser suit is for me and my cocker spaniel Molly aged almost 4years. I have very weak hands following surgery a couple years ago which makes it difficult to dry my dog in wet weather. I was thrilled to find the suit while brousing the net

Size is an issue
posted on 20/09/2008 17:28:58
I had to return the coat unfortunately because although length okay, it was too big bodywise. I had phoned and asked for advice, especially about girth, but it seems only body length is measured. Would recommend that coats are measured both ways and better advice available on the phone please.

Excellent product. However the 60 c.m. length was perfect and it fitted well around the waist but it was too tight around the chest of my 2 year old Golden Retriever. Highly recommended if you can get the right fit
|

Just what Buddy needed - my Chinese Crested Powder Puff can now enjoy muddy country walks and only need his paws rinsing, instead of needing an all over wash.

Having such thin legs, I did need to shorten/tighten the elastic around the cuffs, to stop them slipping over his feet. Otherwise a perfect fit.

It was the largest you do so had to be returned.

it was difficult to assess our Standard Poodle Puppys size, so the 14 inch suit was too short in the leg and too tight. We returned it and Donna-Claire sent a replacement in record time, and it is superb - it also changed the weather as it hasn't rained since it arrived !!

I love it and so does my golden retriever.

This 'raincoat' does exactly as promised. It keeps my dog dry and clean, she simply needs paws wiping after a wet walk. Very easy to put on and take off. The legs were very long and needed some tweaking. It solved the problem of drying a problem long coat.

They are a godsend i have 2 dogs a bearded collie and a cocker spaniel. They keep them so dry and clean and the only bit that needs drying is the feet. They even keep them dry in the rain. You do get some strange looks at times but most people think they look good. I dont care its better than having muddy smelly and wet dogs. I fully recommend them.

An absolute Godsend!

I recently purchased these suits for my two Afghan Hounds and cant speak highly enough of these brilliant suits - my dogs have very long hair and it was daunting to take them out in bad weather as they were left soaking after walks in the rain, which was uncomfortable for them and made a real mess in the house - but now I can take them for a walk in bad weather knowing they will be clean and dry when I get them home - brilliant!

A must have!
posted on 29/01/2007 12:24:16
A bit troublesome to put on but worth it on a small white fluffy terrier who seems to get into all the mucky places - even in the garden. I thought it could have washed a bit better and the legs could have been velcro adjustable at the bottom as it catches on claws.
