This is an excellent coat, keeps her warm and dry and its easy to clean. His smart new coat arrived just in time for the 2nd Winter snap and he is obviously very proud of himself in it. The size (26") is perfect for his 75lbs' weight and it is warm and waterproof yet light. A nervous dog might need to get used to the rustling noise it makes as the dog moves. For 'Henry' perfect though. The coat arrived promptly. Brian is not yet fully grown and it is a little big, but I ordered this size deliberately with that in mind. The velcro fastenings mean we can adjust the size to fit him as he is now. The fleece lining is very warm and I am sure will make a difference in this exceptionally cold weather. The coat fits and looks absolutely beautiful on her. She seems to enjoy wearing it too. My dog has no problems wearing it and the fur lining keeps him warm in the winter. My Tibetan terrier Titus measures 17 inches from collar to the base of his tail, as everyone said these coats are over-sized I ordered a 16" but this overhangs by 2 or 3 inches at his tail end and is incredibly baggy even on it's tightest fitting.I ordered a navy coat but was sent a red one, I don't like the shade of red at all. I've sent a couple of emails but had no reply so far, I hope to get a replacement coatdifferent brandsent to me eventually. The only down side is that the colour runs, we took our dog out for a walk on a very rainy day and when we came back the red colour was running onto the floor, we dried off the coat but the colour still ran. I think that the colour may have come from the edging of the coat, so in future I will be careful where the coat is placed to dry. Apart from this it is a good product. I returned the product as the size was too big. But i also returned it because i was not happy with the quality of the product for the amount of money it cost. The buckles on the coat were flimsy and not proper buckles, and had it been the right size for my puppy it wouldnt have lasted five minutes. The stitching around the ends of the coat did not look strong, and it would only have been a matter of time before it parted company from the rest of the coat. The fleece fabric lining and the outer Nylon were the only fabric on the coat, and i feel from the price i paid for this, that their should have been a bit more too it. In fact, if it had only have been the size which was the problem, i probably would have measured and taken the coat in on my sewing machine to make it fit. One of the drawbacks of buying online is that you cannot see and try on products before buying. Pet Planet have included on their website good quality photographs but may benefit from including more angles. Pet Planet have said they will refund my money, and i have already gone to a retailer and took my dog and was fitted for a coat. I bought a lovely lined coat it looks ike a small horse rug for £22.50 and am very happy with it. I would definitely use Pet Planet again if i needed to, but probably not to buy a product for my puppys wardrobe- IE a fitted/measured product. I got the red one as he is knocking on a bit and is a sandwich short of a picnic. He tends to be wondering off in the feild and then stop wondering where he is, and if he's a dog or not. So i got the bright red one. I can see him anywhere. Its not a tacky colour, just visible. It is lovely and warm for him and waterproof. The buckles is much better for him as the velcro ones as they tend to pop open as he is a little tubbier these days. all in all a brilliant coat. Before I bought this coat, most coats/jumpers didn't cover her vital areas for warmth. However, this coat was perfect, all round and the red I chose is a lovely bright warm colour without being gawdy. And the sheepskin-like lining keeps her toasty when exercising. Perfect 5* score!! Really recommend. The buckles are essential for her as she is a small Basset and so quite difficult to fit. So many dog coats out there that cost almost as much as human ones!! Dave, my dachshund, was happy to wear it. Was perfectly happy with it until it rained – when the red dye from the outer layer ran, and turned the furry lining pink. On reflection, I would say the strap that goes around the belly is a little too far back, too. Needs to be closer to the chest to avoid toilet 'splashes', if you know what I mean! A good budget buy, if your dog only needs a coat for occasional (dry) use.
