But its much less effective against ticks. During a recent holiday to Snowdonia my dog picked up 2 ticks that I spotted. One just attached on the bridge of her nose which I managed to remove quickly. The other on her belly, large and fully gorged on blood. I didn't spot for a while. Impossible to say how long itd been on but at least a few days. When I removed it it was fully live and kicking. To be fair the manufacturers don't claim it'll stop ticks, just kill them after a day or so. Also who knows how many she might have had if no antitick stuff on at all. I wish there was something on the market more effective against ticks as its a big problem but for now I guess this is as good as we can get.
