I have similar for my 2 cats and bought this for my grown up childrens catskittens I agree with other comments that you may need to show the cat how it works at first although 2 kittens where straight at it I suggest introducing it when they are expecting dinner anyway and likely to persevere to get the kibbles out As to the comments that owners have had to roll it for the cats well we know who is in charge in THAT house hahaInteractive playtime

Brilliant designed product I put some biscuits in the toy and tried to get the cats to use it but they were uninterested I came back a while later the toy had been moved with no food inside Another day I noticed it had moved rooms This shows the cats like the toy and play with it when alone

LOVED BY FERRETS
posted on 01/09/2012 01:25:03 by Helen

This was purchase for four ferrets three of whom are kits I picked the blue treat ball slightly different shade of blue to the pictures and smaller then expected however this suits my purpose as it wasnt intended for a cat I put a variety of treats into the ball you have not seen anything until a relatively small kits picks up the treat ball and runs off with it whilst chaste by two other kits They adore treats perhaps a little too much i wanted a more energetic way for the ferrets to earn there treats I am certainly going to need to purchase another treat ball if they continue to hog and squabble over it

Good product kitten doesnt quite get it

I was pretty excited about giving my 4 month old kitten this toy. I think its a great idea but he doesn't seem interested in playing with it by himself. He can smell his favourite treats inside and licks the outside of the ball but instead of batting it around he looks at me expectantly and prefers me to roll it around for him while he happily bounces after it purring his head off, eating the trail of treats it leaves behind. I might reintroduce it when hes abit older :)

My fat 5yr old tom Loves it
posted on 10/07/2012 21:29:35 by Sindi Doll

I have 3 cats 13yr old female 10yr old female and 5yr old Tom - who is a bit chunky to say the least. The 2 female oldies pay no attention to this item but my tom cat never stops rolling it about the floor. I fill it with every day dry catfood and he rolls it around snatching up the little biscuits which drop out. You can fit a whole meal in here. He has now lost interest completely in the usual cat dish where the same food is put down each day instead waiting for me to fill this ball. I am hoping this will even help him loose a little weight as his food isn't as easily available in large amounts although the bowl is still down if he wanted but he chooses not to use it. Was a little smaller than expected but not disappointed as it holds a lot and he loves it

My cat didnt really take to it she did play with it for a while but having said that she is a pampered princess and probably thinks why should i work for my treats when all have to do is sit by the cupboard that houses them - looking cute!

Im glad i purchased this product for my cat - he loves it. Its adjustable outlets are great for varying the sizes of the treats that can be put in. My cat soon took an interest when he knew food would fall out of it, surprisingly easy to clean too just fill with water make sure the holes are covered then shake empty and leave to dry before adding more dry food or treats

My cat wont play with it
posted on 25/10/2011 21:53:17 by cockles

I think its a brilliant idea and bought it because Ive an older indoor cat and thought it would be good exercise for her to work for her treats however she watches me shake it and throw it aroundto encourage her then takes the treats that fall out but refuses to actually knock it around herself maybe shes been too spoilt in the past Ill pass it on to friends who have younger cats to see if they like it Im sure they will

I have two cats and one of them absolutely cannot get enough of this little ball. She scoots it around even once all the treats are gone hoping for more. The treats can actually fall out of the ball on their own but even so for the price its a great way to entertain your cats and yourself.

'My Cats love it'

My two are older kittens (9 months) so the ball size is prefect for them to push around. I think the ball could be a bit big for kittens under 6 months to easily use. On the owners practical side the ball entry / exit hole looks just about the right size to be able to wash it out, keeping the ball insides clean and free of stale treat crumbs.
