stephwright I have two whippet pups who have heaps of energy its great to be able to take them anywhere with us safely These belts give them enough room to move around but still keeps them secure Its seat belt the harness was designed to be able to be secured with a seat belt but on a small dog it would just make him unable to get comfortable With this he can lie down or stand up as he wish For a small dog I feel its maybe a little bit too long even on the shortest lenght If the car would suddenly stop he would almost hit the seat infront of him Overall                     Quality not attempt to leap out of the car when you open the door as our puppy did and risked potentially hanging himself I would advise attaching the seatbelt restraint to a harness rather than a collar extremely good value for money I have a large labradorxpointer who creeps along the back seat until my collie is squashed in the corner and normal travel harnesses dont stop this as the dog can still pull the seat belt and move along the seat if they move slowly With this product the dog is secured exactly where you want him and because it is used with his existing harness that he is exercised in Planet Fits my Mini Cooper I have a RAC car harness which has a loop that the seat belt threads though my Border Collie used to try and turn and end up getting tied up in knots Instead of changing the
