It is roomy for my dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer) to lie in it stretched out. Previously he would only go into his crate when he was forced to. Now he chooses to sit in there any time of the day. The cage is very large and without using the divider and left as one large cage, it is big enough for both dogs to walk a few steps, turn around, lie down, and generally be very comfortable and not cramped.
