My favourite feature is the section that opens up at the top to pet your animal. A heavy negative however is that the door, although very easy to open and close, is small compared to other cat carriers. This made it very difficult to get my medium sized cat inside it as he always puts up a fight. If your cat/dog are usually happy to be put inside a carrier or is very small then this wouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, I would advise choosing the larger size.
