The flea collar can be worn in conjunction with a normal collar but care must be taken that no other pesticides are used within 7 days of the removal of the collar. The Vet Kem Breakaway Flea Collar features an expanding section that will stretch under the weight of an average size cat. This will enable the cat to free itself in the event of it being entangled by the collar. Do not use on kittens under the age of 12 weeks or on nursing queens. For effective flea treatment it is essential to treat all animals in the household and all pet living areas and bedding.
