	Moulting Lab Q: I have a 3 year old Labrador and she moults all the year round, I feed her on Burns Maintenance and give her 9oz a day. I also give her a slice of toast in the mornings as well, she is exercised a lot and out in all weather. I brush her with a slicker brush 2 a week. Please help Viv

A: You obviously look after your dog well and her diet sounds fine. Excessive moulting which occurs all the year round is unfortunately a common problem and there is not really any solution to it. Try to groom your dog as frequently as possible to remove any loose and dead hair. If her coat is at all dry a coat conditioner may help. (There are several brands - your vet could advise which may be most suitable for your particular dog). Centrally heated houses tend to be the reason for moulting often occurring all the year round.
