A: Sneezing Cat PetPlanet Vets PPAdmin pettalk@petplanet.co.uk
Dear Beth,
Your little cat may well be simply in poor condition after her adventures and the respiratory infection. A couple of sneezes a day sounds no problem. With the poor state of her coat, check her mouth in case something prevents her from grooming properly. She may have had ulcers in her mouth when she had the 'flu'. If the previous baths have helped then give the last one. If they made no difference, then don't bath her with the same shampoo.
I would say that for now a quiet life with good food and a vitamin and mineral supplement to help build her up is what she needs. Something with essential fatty acids will help her skin and coat condition. Your vet should stock something along those lines. A herb supplement with Echinacea will help to build up her immune system. If the vet does not stock this then try pet shops or health food stores.
