	How can I stop my dog being Car Sick? Q: What can I do about my dog's car sickness? She is six months old and manages to throw up even on the shortest journeys!

A: You could perhaps try sitting with her in the car for a few minutes without moving. If the excitement or stress of car travel is to blame this may make her sick. In this case repeating the procedure, taking her out before she is sick and building up the time etc may reduce the problem and as she matures she may become a better traveller. If it seems to be only the motion when the car is travelling makes her sick it may be more difficult to manage although she is likely to become less sensitive with age. Otherwise, there are medications, available from your vet which you could use when travel is inevitable -this is not a great help for everyday situations. Consider practical planning as well - sit her on newspaper or an old towel and take something to wipe up.
