A: Border Collie with Mucus in his Eyes PetPlanet Vets PPAdmin pettalk@petplanet.co.uk
No, don't go near your dog's eyes with homemade potions, you could damage
them. He needs seen by a vet as he may have an infection which needs antibiotic
eye drops or he could have ulcers or other eye problems. In the meanwhile use boiled water from your kettle, let it cool, then use it to moisten cotton wool and wipe the stickiness gently from around the eyes. Don't try to flush the eyes out yourself.
