	Lonely Rabbit? Q: Hello, we have an un-neutered male rabbit which has been quite happy, but has now started to loose his fur on his underneath ( he could have licked this off - the vet cannot see any signs of mites on his skin). he is about 3 1/2 years old and lives on his own. have you any ideas please. He has toys and sees people every day, is the answer to get him neutered and then a companion? Kate

A: Rabbits certainly can get lonely and bored on their own, and if you are happy to get another rabbit then this might well improve things for the one you already have. As you rightly say, it would be better if he was neutered first. You would still have to be careful when introducing a new rabbit to make sure that no serious fighting occurs.
