	Puss who is being sick Q: I have a long haired indoor cat - approximately 9 years old. In the past he has thrown up once every few months. He is now throwing up his food a couple times a week, sometimes with hair sometimes without. He does get hairball medicine. Should I take him to the vet?

A: In short, as the frequency of vomiting has increased and your cat is an older cat, I think you should consult your vet. It may be that this is an exacerbation of the hairball problem, reflecting possibly some increase in grooming or hair loss, or loss of ability to cope with accumulations of hair in the stomach.
