Great value fore money

Great for anyone starting an aquarium. Good for smaller fish, eg. Guppies, neon's etc. Would highly recommend one. Now upgrading to a Classic 60.

Aquael 40 bow aquarium

excellent aquarium ready to set up with all extras but found the filter a bit fiddly and would have preferred a 3 stage filter

Perfect for a Betta Splenden

I recently decided i needed another tank in my life and a cute little Veil Tail betta I purchased the Aquael Classic 40 Bow Aquarium a simple little 20 litre tank at a fantastic price Search around you wont find one cheaper than PetPlanet Delivery was fast and the tank was well protected in copious amounts of Bubble wrap and extra boxes Now for a small review of the tank and set up itself Youre pretty limited as to what fish you can put in a tank as small as 20 litres seriously if you want a shoal of fish buy something bigger for my needs and the needs of a Betta Splenden this tank is perfect well made the silicone is very neat and tidy the general look of the tank is great and really does look like it costs double the price If you are looking to keep live plants in your tank id suggest buying an upgraded lighting set up or new daylight bulb The standard bulb is a regular incandescant 11 watt energy saving bulb and can appear a little garish and white The filter is perfect for a Betta fish the intake isnt very strong so regular gravel vacums are recomended however as Betta fish dont like a strong current the filter works a treat and comes with a variable flow The heater works well and can be adjusted i will say that to keep my tank at a steady 26c i need to set the heater to 28c but this could be down to varying factors such as room tempature etc All in all id recomend this tank to anyone looking to keep a Betta fish shrimp snails and the like if you want something more active or a large group of fish Bigger is Better
