Brilliant Toy

I took in a stray who is 13 and has been a stray for at least 10 years. He is not interested in playing with any cat toy I have bought. He has come in with a live mouse twice, no harm to it he just brought them in to me, and I took them out and released in a field. Now I won't buy any cat toys that resemble birds or animals normally as do not want yo encourage killing. But really wanted to give him something to encourage play. So as,he obviously catches mice outside (although this is the 1st time there has been any outside as a neighbour had a problem with them) I saw a review of this toy and thought, well he catches them anyway but does not harm them in any way. So thought I would try it. I must admit I did give the one with a feather tail away to a friend as He takes no notice of birds, and I feed them so anything with feathers is not acceptable. He loves it he plays with it then lays with it sometimes cleaning it. It is so nice to see him play, he's probably never known what it is to play with something. I ordered 3 more packs and gave my friend the feathered ones ( she had 9 cats and most of them are hunters so not encouraging them to do something they dont already). Even the ones that don't really play seem to like this toy. They are really well made as well. Shame they had to put feathers on one though.

So cute

These are so cute. I really love them. It would have been better if my cat did as well, but she is Siamese and thinks she is human so play mice are beneath her! Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Squeaky mice

I thought my cat would love these but she was scared of them to start with, because they squeaked. She has got over that now and likes to have a good session killing them! We can hear the mouse squeaking in protest! One of the mice has a fabric tail which is fine. The other has feathers in place of a tail which I have removed as I dont want her chewing and swallowing bits of feather. This toy is a very good idea and I would recommend.

Product was fine, my older cats aren't really interested, typically they prefer screwed up paper??
