I have a very calm puppy

My little Chorkie, Charlie, only arrived to live with us a week ago today. Everyone told me that the first few nights with a puppy were hell. I researched really well and decided to try an Adaptil diffuser. Charlie has slept for about eight hours a night every night since he arrived. When he went to the vet he was really laid back.So, I can only conclude that Adaptil works and well!

I decided to try this for my anxious young dog who is very unsettled at the moment. The first 2 nights, I was amazed. He slept the whole night and I had trouble getting him up the next morning, he was so chilled out and relaxed. I recently took the adaptil on holiday with me to a caravan. I think it did help for the change of environment. The only issue I have with it, is the design. If your plug sockets are low and close to the floor, you can't use this plug-in. You can't use it via an extension lead or multiway socket, or under any cupboards or furniture. I had a nightmare trying to find a location to put it.

Nervous dog!

Our Jack Russell is absolutely terrified of fireworks/gunfire and other loud noises - we have tried many calming measures and nothing works. This was a last resort and it failed as well - we got the plugin and the collar and had them on for days before the fireworks started and, if anything, he was worse. We have tried for several days but to no avail, now we have removed them all and he is, if anything, slightly calmer, but then there are fewer fireworks. A total waste of money as far as our experience was concerned.
