Fiproclear Spot-On for Large Dogs is for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) and ticks in dogs weighing 20-40kg. It is a clear, colourless to pale yellow solution for topical application to the skin and has an insecticidal efficacy against new infestations by adult fleas for up to 8 weeks.
It also has a persistent acaricidal efficacy (kills ticks and mites) against:
- Dermacentor reticulatus for up to 4 weeks
- Ixodes ricinus for up to 2 weeks
- Rhipicephalus sanguineus for up to 3 weeks
Please note: If any ticks of these species are present when the product is applied, all ticks will not be killed within the first 48 hours but they may be killed within a week.
Regular treatment of all dogs in the form of effective flea killing products and vacuuming of bedding and rest areas, is necessary to safeguard both your pet and home, from fleas and ticks. If your property is suffering from a severe infestation, then it is recommended that you invest in a home flea product to ameliorate the situation.
The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) in dogs, where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon.
