getting mobile again

My patterdale LOUIE decides wether to lead, walking alongside or to take a step behind. We are in our silver years & a lot slower together, but this new jogging belt helps me to be hands free from the lead to use my walking poles. A brilliant adaptation.

Very impressed with quality and how fast it came

First impressions

This belt is clearly good quality, although I wouldnt recommend this for smaller dogs. The metal links are clearly high quality but this also means they are heavy. They would be ideal for bigger, stronger breeds e.g staffy, Doberman etc. I am going to swap the lead out for a smaller lighter one of my own for my Italian greyhound. The bottle pocket is pretty small so dont expect to get much in there. The phone pocket is just big enough for my iPhone six. I thought that it had a small pocket for bags, but when I took it off its just a piece of fabric velcroed to the belt, Im still trying to figure out what its purpose is? Maybe to reflect light in the dark? I dont know. This is a good quality belt which I am going to use, I just wish I had known how heavy it was before I bought it.

Needs a stronger clip

I have been running 3/4 times a week with this belt for a few months (30kg - Doberman) and had a few issues with the clasps. The first one happened in the second week, where he pulled after seeing a rabbit and it broke the clasp of the belt and he went running into the road. That was okay, he survived and i attached the loop to the belt for the next few months.. Until this morning, where he spotted a squirrel and managed to snap the metal clip in half! I would recommend that if you're dog has a tendency to get excited, look for something a little stronger than this one.
