Great for gerbils

Bought 2 of these and join them together for the gerbils to have a run around. At a push they could probably jump out but ours are more concerned in running around all the items we place in the middle. They don't look to escape. If anything, they just hide in the little houses. Great for extra exercise and playtime. My daughter loves putting them in this. Strong and sturdy with no obvious gaps. I'd definitely recommend.

Not suitable for rats

I bought this for my four female pet rats, to allow them a bit more 'free-range' time while I clean them out. This is partly my fault as I was aware of the dimensions when I bought it and have looked after rats for years, but I'm a worn out mum and just wanted my furry girls to have more play time. I carried them all over to it, with a few toys and treats, and they leapt straight out. So it's back to playtime with me on the sofa.
