To anyone who is thinking of buying a water fountain for your cat, this is worth every penny. I bought it to replace one that I have had since 2015 (I think from Pet Planet). It was still going strong but was looking a bit shabby so I have treated my three cats to a new one. The previous one, which I've put in the loft as a spare, had been running 24hrs a day for 9 years. The new one is almost unchanged. The pump is slightly different and the filter likewise but other wise the same, simple, sturdy fountain. My cats love it and prefer it to a bowl. The water comes down on different levels and they all have their favourite spot to lap from. The whole thing is easy to clean and I would recommend you do this once a week to avoid build up of hair. dust etc. I wash mine by hand but the bowl can go in a dishwasher. The pump is very easy to clean out, just follow the instructions and the filter can be rinsed and dried. They last a long while. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for this but it was a bargain. Over 9 years is just over 3 a year to keep your cat hydrated. Top up each day with fresh water. Clean once a week and keep your kittens happy. Thank you Pet Planet for excellent service again.

Due to my disability I needed something simple to use, clean and would come apart easily. This fits the bill exactly. Took two or three days of sideward glances and wary looks for the cats to decide it was safe to approach. When this was achieved I removed their normal water bowl and each cat has drunk happily from it ever since. Saves me having to risk dropping or spilling water each day I change their water. Dishwasher safe which is a big bonus for me, just top up the water every day from a jug. The cats like it, I like it, so all good.

Both my cats love this! They are always drinking from it which is obviously good as cats are prone to dehydration. They are both very fond of water so love splashing in it, despite this it doesn't make much of a mess though I'd recommend a small flannel under it if yours are as avid as mine. Highly recommend all cat owners get a fountain. It's very quiet if you make sure it's above minimum amount, I honestly don't notice it if I'm not paying attention. Only con is I wish there was a fully stainless steal version.
