Urinary S/O Canine effectively dissolves struvite uroliths. In addition, an acidic urinary pH is unfavourable to the development of bacteria, which are frequently associated with struvite uroliths.
Low RSS (relative super saturation) diets encourage an undersaturated urinary environment, unfavourable to the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
Diluting urine decreases the urinary concentration of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Greater urinary volumes also ensures regular bladder wash-out.
Magnesium is a component of struvite (magnesium ammonium phosphate) uroliths./

Great Product - Candi is 4 years old and has been on this food for 3 years due to allergies and bladder problems. Since being on Royal Canin Canine Urinary there has been a vast improvement and she is now on this for life. Great value for money and Pet Planet always give a great service.

Lifetime diet now

One of my dogs is on this for the rest of her life now. She developed struvite bladder stones and this food is now her only option if she is to remain healthy and pain free. The price here is brilliant , however I find the food does not satisfy her appetite so she has become a thief and will scrounge any food she can.

Great value and worked a treat for my dogs ongoing urinary tract issues

My dog was having recurrent urinary tract infections and incontinence for over 2 months. During this period she was on anti-inflammatories and antibiotics, yet each time, they failed to resolve the issue. Eventually, my vet ordered a test which confirmed the presence of struvite stones and as a result, this diet was advised. Impressively, it only took a few days on this diet until I saw an improvement and after a week, she was completely back to normal. As a result, I can only vouch for this product for ending 2 months of illness.
