Glad I bought this on sale and didn't pay full price. The bristles are not hard at all, a soft plastic which bends far too easily to get through any amount of knots. This is only ever going to brush the top layer of fur, leaving knots in the undercoat which will inevitably lead to matting which will need to be clipped.

My lovely Cavapoo's dislike of grooming brushes is now a thing of the past.

I bought three brushes but my cats were so different in coat and thickness, one hard brushes full stop whilst the other only ever preferred the old porcupine dog brush, so decided that I would buy this one, it went down like a bomb neither liked it but I pursued and the younger cat has taken to it like a duck out of water, sadly not the same as the other older doing, she turned her nose up straight off, but I tried and no she would have none of it, but I thought it would be ok, as I did not care for the wires of the other brush going over her brothers fine coat, so I put it away. Later that week I tried again and yet again only one cat lived the bristles and I have done the coat and he looks great in his summer coat. And I do not have feathers all over my worktops and chairs. We are all pleased with the brushes work, and my three price suite says thank you mum,
