For the price I think they do a pretty good job If you keep the tray clean as it should be no smells come through except an especially stinky one which Im kind of glad about as it needs cleaning up - will buy again
I never noticed any smell from the cat litter tray until the filter stopped working The pack includes 2 filters and they last for months I never bothered with filters before I got this litter box but it makes a big difference to wee smells Obviously as the other reviewer says you just have to remove the solids as they appear Just as your cat wants you to in fact
As mentioned in my review for the Booda Cleanstep Litter Box I do not value the Cleanstep Filters as trustworthy/reliable. The price tag is attractive but the claim of making the litter box 99 odourfree does not stand the test. It might be true for urinating but certainly not for cat poo. I rather trust the method of removing any cat business straight away.
