Prevents distress in bad matts makes grooming less stressful
Does what it says on the can, or it's bubble wrap alternative. Saves a lot of hassle with a highly strung long haired cat. posted on 20/01/2010 by
I love it - the cat's not so sure! posted on 08/07/2009 by LeeStubb
This is an effective tool for grooming long-haired pets that are prone to matting. Unfortunately my cat's fur is very matted and so she is not keen on any sort of grooming. However, once sorted out this time by the vets I am sure she will be fine with the matt splitter.

Really works well on my Lhasa Apso's long coat and the dog doesn't mind it. Very low price. Altogether an excellent little gadget that's so useful I can't imagine how I managed without it.

Works very well and a good price. Just the thing for getting rid of matted hair on my long haired cat. Plus she doesn't go quite as crazy as when we had to use scissors.

Perfect useful little tool for just splitting up knots in my King Charles ear hair. I'd recommend it to anyone with a dog with floppy ears. Its blade is very sharp mind you. The way you hold it means you can't hurt your dog, but it can nip your finger if you dont hold it carefully. However, sharp is what you need when that undercoat gets tatty!

Great idea and fantastic value. Only slight criticism is that the blade could be a bit bigger and sharper - infinitely better than scissors but still tricky trying to get blade through a bad knot on a dog who is trying to escape!
