ScoopFree Ultra features all the things you love about the ScoopFree but offers 3 additional features for the ultimate in cat care. Like the ScoopFree it is an automated litter tray that you can leave for up to 30 days. Easy to assemble each replacement cartridge comes complete with crystal litter which locks away odours. Please note that this UK version does not contain FreshStep Crystals as in America but ScoopFree have sourced a comparable alternative for their UK customers. When your cat uses the box it will activate optical sensors. The crystal litter immediately starts to absorb moisture, dry out waste and lock in odours. CRYSTAL LITTER DOES NOT CLUMP.

A 20 minute countdown cycle begins when your cat leaves the box and a light on top of the unit will blink slowly. If your cat returns to the box the countdown cycle will stop and will re-set after the cat has left again. After the countdown, the rake sweeps through the litter and moves the dried-out solids into the waste trap. The crystals absorb the urine. The rake will then reverse to smooth out and level the litter bed. There is nothing to fill, empty or clean for up to 30 days, (this is based on an average sized healthy cat).

The box may require to be changed more frequently if your cat is a kitten, over 10 years of age or overweight. The ScoopFree Ultra also comes with a privacy hood to prevent litter from scattering outside the box. The Rake delay timer can be set to 5, 10 or 20 minutes after your cat uses the litter box. The Scoop Free Ultra also features a health counter which monitors your cats’ use of the litter tray.

Not for use with kittens under 6 months of age

The litter area measures 35.6 x 35.6cm
Exterior dimensions: W69.5 x D48.3 x H17.8cm
With the hood installed: H42.5cm

Please note: kittens may have a softer stool than mature cats, which increases the likelihood that it may stick to the rake. Factors such as size, diet and health can also impact the life span of the litter tray. Cats who consume a diet high in crude fibre, ash and by-products may experience a shortened litter tray life span. Cats over 10 years and cats with health problems may also experience a shortened tray life.

This is amazing! Prior to this I had 2 litter trays and my cat would not use a tray if a poo was visible. I have used this for almost 4 weeks and not had to change the litter (I have redistributed it as cat goes in same spot all the time) and she is continuing to use it. The sound does not bother me and even through she is tiny she is able to get in (which was my worry as front is higher than a normal littler tray). The blue litter is staying in the box better than my previous tray.
Good idea
It's a good idea but my ragdoll cat is taking a long time to get used to it he seems to be nervous about it. I think it's a very good idea as it seems so much cleaner for me to look after, I think we will get Arthur the cat there in time.
fantastic both my cats took to it though the little one was a bit apprehensive at first with the noise and lid so i removed the lid and she was fine with it will try some of the other reviews ideas on up cycling the litter carboard boxes
This is the best investment we have made for our cat litter tray purchases of which we have tried several semi automatic or scoop free types There has been no smell after 2 weeks and we have yet to empty it and our large Ragdoll has used it 58 times since we set it up We used to have so much cat litter kicked up on the floor and so far only had a couple of bits kicked up The smell used to bother me so much from all our other cat litter trays and this one has so far been absolutely brilliant with no detectable odour at all
So far so good
Id read other reviews however was a bit concerned that we have three indoor cats Would it stand up to the test The old lady decides to leave us a message if shes not happy with the state of the litter boxes I bought the ScoopFree with her in mind So far no accidents Weve had it nearly two weeks and have only used the litter the product comes packaged with while slowly removing the cats two old covered little boxes Pretty good going We were using a bag sometimes two of quite expensive litter before 910 a throw So even though the refills look like theyre slightly expensive along with the initial outlay for the machine I reckon it will pay for itself in due course PLUS theres no hassle It REALLY is a clever piece of kit One of the cats loves watching the rake moving back and forth Im really pleased I purchased the ScoopFree If your cat likes a bit of privacy ours do Id recommend the Ultra version as it has the hood included
Both cats took to it straight away
Very easy set up no smells so far or issues after a weeks use One of our cats is v fussy and he was in like a shot and we were able to dispose of usual scoop version litter tray in 2 days
Me and my 2 cats love this
I have had a kidney transplant so have a depressed immune system and wanted to be ultra cautious regarding handling of litter I love this machine its clean efficient fairly quiet and cats used it immediately My downside with this is the cost of replacement trays as well I would rather pay a little more for a permanent tray in order just to purchase litter for it I have lined the cardboard before use and other crystal type litters work just as well but eventually you are forced to buy replacement trays However I have just bought another unit and am using 2 I like them so well Only use the Ultra though as I feel the usage counter would help me quickly identify if a cat had a toilet problem
What a boon but what a price

The ScoopFree unit is excellent. It is sad that the price of the refills is so high. We have two 8 month old kittens and they enjoy using the privacy box and watching it work The trouble is that it IS pricey. Pet planet is the only place I can find in this country where I can get them. To save a little I have lined a new tray with fablon sticky backed plastic so I can empty and reuse the tray with crystal litter after being cleaned well with antibac. Its also a shame that the scoopfree litter is not available without the trays Cant you help Pet planet and work your magic on the price etc

We would like to thank the customer in this review for their comments. We have kept the price to a minimum, this has not been increased since first going on our site. It is slightly cheaper to buy the replacement cartridges in their pack of 3.
A God send
This has almost transformed my life No longer do I have to clean the litter box twice a day to control smells The unit is smart works very well and isnt as noisy as some would suggest in my opinion I still find I need to empty out the box where the cats business is raked to purely for piece of mind but I find overall this requires so much less effort than before My cats love it and never had trouble adjusting to it
No more scooping!
My cat is very old and I was worred when I bought this if she would get used to using this but within a day she started using it. It's brilliant.I love the fact that I don't have to worry about emptying her litter day every morning now. A worthwhile investment for me and my cat.
