Royal Canin Renal is formulated for the nutritional management of chronic renal failure (CRF), calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function, hepatic encephalopathy, and prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate and cystine uroliths. The kidneys are no longer able to eliminate phosphorous effectively which contributes to progression of the disease.

Limiting the dietary phosphorous intake is an essential part of nutritional support. Added omega-3 fatty acids, EPA/DHA, helps maintain renal perfusion and GFR. The synergistic antioxidant complex (vitamins E and C, taurine, lutein) neutralises free radicals, helps maintain the health of cells and DNA and supports the immune system. Increased uraemia may induce the formation of gastric and intestinal mucosal ulcers. The combination of zeolite and FOS helps protect the mucosa.

Our 12 year old shorthaired domestic x28moggyx29 is a rescue cat who has landed on her paws She spent 4 years in France with us when we lived there and now travels over with us for 6 months at a time Over there back in 2011 she was diagnosed with kidney problems and put on a special diet When we came back to the UK we could not find the food she needed over here but our vet recommended this product as as good or better then the French variety We find that she loves her biscuits and her condition has continued to improve Couldnt ask for better
I loved it
My cat has bad kidneys and needed to move to renal care cat food He absolutely loves this food and so does my other cat
great as long as your cat drinks well
Cats on this diet are reknown for not drinking enough and dried foods make this problem worse As my cat loves the taste of these biscuits they make a good variation in what is a very narrow diet
Brilliant Service
This product is keeping my beautiful Ragdoll fit and healthy and at a better price than at the vets My thanks to Pet Planet for their swift dispatch so that Zuzu never runs out
Excellent value
One cat was diagnosed with kidney failure by the vet and was recommended this product. It's so much cheaper from pet planet than from the vets. It's now eaten by all the cats although the others have it mixed with the normal royal canine. All are thriving. Very prompt delivery.
Cats love it
Eagerly eaten by my Siamese - and unlike other renal foods they are not sick on it.
Very popular with diagnosed cat and those not!

These specialised biscuits are excellent value. Very pricey at Vets!
