Inadequate kidney workload may induce ureamic crisis. An adapted content of high quality protein helps reduce kidney by reduction of the generation of nitrogen waste products, which accumulate in body fluids.
Chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. Formulated with alkalinizing agents.
A specific aromatic profile allows for differences in individual preference, because cats with CKD are more likely to develop inapprentance or food aversion./

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Renal workload
  • Metabolic equilibrium
  • Appetite preference

Suitable for: For cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function, prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate and cystine uroliths.

My cat who is 17 enjoys this food. Her appetite and drinking habitats are now back to normal after a period of being constantly hungry and thirsty( early signs of kidney problem) . She has been diagnosed with kidney problems and hence the diet.

My darling cat needs to have renal cat food. This is the only vetinary cat food that she will really eat and I have tried her on a few. She seems to prefer chicken flavour on a whole. I like to thank Petplanet for the amazing valaue they sell for as veterinary food is so expensive.

My cat loves it.

My vet put my cat Tuppence who is 19 on this special renal diet food as he suspects she has kidney problems. She loves the chicken flavour and is eating well. I have just ordered the beef flavour and hope she likes it as much. Hopefully the new food will give her a better quality of life for a bit longer. It will be worth paying a little extra if she keeps eating as well.

good value and excellent service

Vet recommended this as part of ongoing kidney support plan. Our cat preferred this flavour to the beef or salmon we tried and seems happy to eat it, though not in massive quantities (due to medical condition). Best price we could find - we order 2 multi boxes at a time to qualify for free delivery and it always arrives promptly. One delivery damaged in transit was reported to PetPlanet and replacement dispatched immediately. Their response could not have been more caring.
