Inadequate kidney workload may induce ureamic crisis. An adapted content of high quality protein helps reduce renal workload.
Chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. Formulated with alkalinizing agents.
A specific aromatic profile allows for differences in individual preference, because cats with CKD are more likely to develop inapprentance or food aversion./

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Renal workload
  • Metabolic equilibrium
  • Appetite preference

Suitable for: For cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function, prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate and cystine uroliths.

My cat is 16 and has had kidney failure desease for the last 3 years. I did not expect her to live this long with her condition. I guess this food and her daily tablet are helping her live longer. She loves the food and so do my other cats.

When my Burmese cat was put on Royal Canin renal diet food, I thought his long term prognosis was very limited . However, he continues to thrive, two and a half years later, although showing the normal signs of an elderly cat, approaching his 17th birthday. Still enjoying his food.

Great value for an essential purchase
Rachel
My cat has recently been diagnosed with renal failure, so he had to be put on a new diet immediately. I purchased a few pouches from the vet at great expense, and opted to buy these as they work out much cheaper in the long term, and he has them every day. I dont think hes even noticed the difference which is a relief!

Renal wet food
We gave this cat food to our poorly cat and we think it gave her at least 6 more months of life when she wasnt eating anything else. A very good product for cats with Renal failure.

This product along with a lot of pills has allowed my boy to reach the age of 100 cat years and still enjoy life, albeit a little more quietly than when he was in his sixties!

Food for an Eeerly cat
Furry friend
Although my 16 year old cat loves the contents of the pouches, I have to open two at a time as he needs about one and half, twice a day. I am concerned about the packaging these 85gm packages come in and would greatly appreciate a larger pouch. It may save a littl eon the cost of them too.

Good service as usual
Leewee
Royal Canin Renal Beef is my surviving cats favourite but he does like it varied with the chicken and tuna packs They are only a few pence cheaper than the vets prices but postage is free over a certain order price and saves regular trips to the vets and carrying very heavy parcels

Doesn't like this food
Purdey
My cat doesn't like this food. He licks the gravy and leaves the meat. Shame because I bought rather a lot!
