We recommend consulting your vet when feeding veterinary diet foods.Read More
Therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and recommended to be used in conjunction with veterinary advice and support. Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your vet prior to and during feeding of any of these products to your pet.

Veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of dogs with specific clinical conditions and are recommended to be used under veterinary advice.

Royal Canin Hypoallergenic is formulated for the nutritional management of food elimination trials, food allergies with dermatological and/or gastrointestinal signs, food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, chronic diarrhoea or bacterial overgrowth. Soy protein hydrolisate, which is composed of low molecular weight peptides, is highly digestible and of very low allergenicity. Very high amounts of biotin, niacin, and pantothenic acid, in combination with the zinc-linoleic acid complex, reduce water losses through the skin and support the barrier effect of the skin. Eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids, omega-3 long chain fatty acids, help maintain skin health and intestinal mucosal integrity. The combination of fermentable fibres beet pulp, FOS with zeolite helps to balance the gastrointestinal microflora as well as to protect the intestinal mucosa. This food is gluten and lactose free.

Advisory

Royal Canin has recently made several packaging changes which result in the Russian language being seen on some pet food bags. We would like to reassure all of our customers and consumers that the product has in no way changed.

Great product, Good company

We have been using Pet Planet for the last 6 years. We find they are very competitive and their range of products is excellent. This particular food is a premium product which allows us to manage our dogs reflux problems. We have tried many brands over the years but this product is the best, we now split his meals into 4 sittings and we put hot water into the food and allow it to break it down a bit. People in the park are gobsmacked when I tell them that our dog is 22. I couldn't recommend the brand of food or the company any more, first class, they should be paid more than they are currently paid.

Small terrier who developed some allergy problems resulting in diarrhoea. This product recommended by Vet and it has done the trick plus the bonus is that my dog loves it. Much cheaper here than through the Vet.

Great value rapid delivery

Ordered this product for years from various sources. My local pet food "specialist" was ordering from here and whacking a huge chunk on top of the price, so cut out the middleman.

Excellent Value

My Jackhuahua was diagnosed with colitis and possible IBS last year and the vet recommended Royal Canine Hypoallergenic for him which seems to have done the trick as he has stopped having very upset stomachs on a regular basis. This unfortunately also means no treats either, apart from cucumber (which fortunately he loves) otherwise he would still be poorly. I have bought the small breed previously, but I thought I'd try the standard as it's available in larger bag sizes. The kibble is much bigger and I thought I may have made a mistake at first but he seems to like it just as much so all is good. My other dog a small terrier also has this as trying to feed them different foods is impossible with them both being grazers and the vet said it was fine.
