Hind Walkabout SlingHarness Medium: Reviews

Hind Walkabout Sling/Harness Medium

This harness is great for pets that are physically challenged or have structural limitations and can be used on amputees. Designed to help dogs suffering from arthritis, hip dysplasia, spinal trauma and general fatigue it can be used on animals that have nerve damage, need soft tissue management, sporting dogs, and police dogs.

The harness is designed to give necessary support and balance for your pet. It is also useful for pet owners or handlers in avoiding personal injury. Does not interfere with the natural functions, your dog will be able to defaecate and urinate as usual.

The Rear Harness is designed to fit male and female pets.
Medium will fit dogs measuring 38-53.5cm around the abdomen in front of the legs and 15-30.5cm around the back leg where it meets the body.
Medium only has one handle unlike the harness pictured, which has two.

My dog is a 16yr old springer spaniel who has been struggling with degeneration of the spine The harness really helped as it enabled him to walk a little further then before Previously his hind legs would buckle underneath him However although the medium size harness had enough room around his body I had to cut the leg straps to make them wider as they were cutting into the top of his legs when I held the straps upright

Does the job beautifully

My dog is just about to have crucial ligament surgery for the second time He is quite a heavy dog so first time around I struggled to lift him The rear harness is a real life saver I wish I knew about them two years ago Definately good value My only thought was the straps could do with being a bit longer as i have to stoop and it would help if you could detach the straps so you can keep the harness on after surgery Just a thought

Great idea but the sizing is wrong. The small was too small and the medium was too large. I have a fox terrier of 10 kilos.

Good but expensive

This is a well made useful product but I feel it is too expensive I used it on my Dachshund about 4 times before he made it impossible to get his legs through the holes as he wriggled too much But I guess that is a good sign that his spinal injury is really improving

Great product

I was very impressed with the dlivery service The harness itself is an excellent product very good quality nice and soft The only drawback I have is that I have to wait for somebody to come in and help put it on Sally as she is a bit heavy and has totally disabled back legs having said that I am going to perserve to get it on myself as it is well worth it and can be left on all day So all in all well worth the money

Excellent help

We were delighted to have the harness after our disabled dog Connie border collie X had her hip 'toggled' fastened in its socket After the op she could barely stand and the harness was great for taking a walk into the garden and also for getting her into the vet's. It's very soft and it fits perfectly.
