This is good stuff without a doubt but it's getting very expensive now. People are trying cheaper alternatives not nessacaraly better for the dogs.

Works very well with a sensitive dog

Our staffie has for a number of years suffered with bouts of diarrhea, mostly because of picking up things when out walks, she has been on Purina ha since this started and that mostly keeps it under control, but picking up things like bird poop fires it up again, the ha diet means no different food at all,and no different treats (we bake the ha into shapes to make dog treats to give her vary) she loves promax and she has it weekly in smaller doses off a plate as it seems to keep her gut in a good place. If and when she has a relapse three days at full dose does help to get her back on track ,with the help of some antibiotics.

Useful to have one of these in stock at home just in case

If you have a dog prone to the odd bout of ''the runs'' then this is the stuff to try. An added bonus is that (at least for our dog) Promax seems to be very palatable even when just placed directly on top of his usual food; we were forced to use an alternative once whilst on holiday because the local shop didn't have Promax - I would guess this alternative had something like kaolin in it, and the poor dog refused to eat it (it had a very sticky, clay-like texture).

Product helped greatly

My elderly GSD (14.5yrs) was suffering from a severe bout of a loose bowel. Id previously used ProMax and turned to it in this time of need. After several days doses, we managed to stem the upset stomach. Sadly it mustve signified the end of her life was imminent. I would recommend keeping a tube of this product in your dogs medicine box for making short work of diarrhoea episodes.
